S&S 540C Cam Chest Kit for Water-Cooled Harley Milwaukee-Eight

Upgrade the cam chest and valvetrain of your Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight with the S&S 540C Cam Chest Kit. Designed for compatible water-cooled M8 engines, this complete chain-drive package combines the S&S 540C performance cam with a high-flow oil pump, billet cam plate, premium tappets, tappet cuffs, Quickee pushrods, valve springs and the supporting hardware needed for a serious performance build.

The S&S 540C cam is designed to produce strong acceleration torque in large-displacement Milwaukee-Eight engines, making it especially well suited for S&S 124" and 128" big-bore combinations. With .540" intake and exhaust lift, the 540C is aimed at riders looking for hard-hitting torque and strong street performance from a built M8.

The included S&S oil pump and billet cam plate increase both feed and scavenge capacity compared with stock-style components. Independent scavenge sections service the flywheel cavity and cam chest, while debris screens help protect the oiling system. An adjustable pressure relief valve can also be serviced with the unit installed in the engine.

S&S premium tappets and billet aluminum tappet cuffs provide additional valvetrain stability, especially in higher-lift and higher-RPM applications. The kit is completed with Quickee adjustable pushrods, chrome pushrod tubes and an upgraded valve spring package, creating a matched cam chest system designed for serious Milwaukee-Eight performance.

Fitment

Designed for compatible water-cooled Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight models using the applicable non-VVT cam drive configuration.

Touring: Fits select 2017-2026 water-cooled Milwaukee-Eight Touring models including compatible Street Glide, Road Glide, Road King, Electra Glide, Ultra Limited and CVO applications.

Softail: Fits select water-cooled Milwaukee-Eight Softail applications where specified, including compatible Fat Boy, Heritage Classic, Low Rider, Low Rider S, Low Rider ST, Street Bob and related models.

Trike: Fits select Milwaukee-Eight Trike applications using the compatible water-cooled cam chest configuration.

Engine Combination: The S&S 540C is designed for acceleration torque in 124" and larger engines and is specifically recommended for S&S 124" and 128" big-bore combinations.
