Vulcan Works Positive Stop Rear Axle Adjuster for 2002-Up Harley Touring
Get more precise rear wheel alignment and eliminate the frustration of the factory cam-style axle adjusters with the Vulcan Works Positive Stop Axle Adjuster Kit. Designed for 2002-Up Harley-Davidson Touring models, this heavy-duty system replaces the stock axle and cam adjusters with a solid stainless steel axle, high-strength steel adjusting plates and threaded stainless steel adjusters that securely hold the rear wheel in position.
The positive-stop design makes it easier to accurately set belt or chain tension and maintain rear wheel alignment. Stainless steel adjusting screws with lock nuts prevent the axle position from changing once adjustment is complete, while the included Grade 8 castle nut and cotter pin provide positive axle retention instead of relying on the factory-style E-clip locking arrangement.
The solid stainless steel rear axle is designed to resist rust and corrosion while helping prevent the axle from seizing inside the wheel bearings. The system works with either the factory belt-drive pulley or a chain-drive conversion, making it an excellent upgrade for stock Touring bikes as well as high-horsepower performance bagger builds.
Fitment
Fits 2002-Up Harley-Davidson Touring models. Select the correct kit based on model year and rear axle configuration.
- 2002-2007 Touring: 1" rear axle
- 2008 Touring: 25mm rear axle - replaces OEM-style #41056-08 axle configuration
- 2008 CVO Road King FLHRSE4: Specific kit for this model - replaces OEM-style #42120-08 axle configuration
- 2009-Up Touring: 25mm rear axle for compatible Twin Cam and Milwaukee-Eight models
Drive Compatibility: Works with the factory belt-drive pulley or compatible chain-drive conversion.
Shock Clearance: Designed so the adjuster assembly does not interfere with the rear shock mount.
Installation Note: Minor modification to the factory swingarm is required. Vulcan Works includes the required drill, center punch and detailed installation instructions.
