One of our awesome customers purchased a brand new stock 2023 Harley Road King and asked us if we could turn into a Performance Turbo Bagger. We were happy to accept the challenge. This bike rolled in off the showroom floor with all of 2 miles on it. We couldn't wait to take it apart and turn it into one beefy machine.

First step, we torn down the entire stock motor and sent it out to T-Man for a 139" Pro-Street Kit with low compression suited to the Stage 2 Turbo kit from Trask. Bottom end was treated to a Darhhorse Man-O-War crankshaft.

For cam we're running the T-Man 3262 ande also added the S&S Oil Pump and Cam Plate kit. Plus all the little important detail pieces (Feuling Cam Sprocket, S&S Precision Tappets, S&S Lifter Guides, and the S&S Bearing/Gasket Kit)

Trask Turbo Kit was next and we opted for the OG Stage 2 Turbo w/ False Pipe. Trask also has a nice Turbo Tornado kit for M8 models with a shorter pipe option.

With the motor & Turbo kit complete the bike went up on the Dyno with a Thundermax for tuning. We like to check the motor and make sure everything is running well before we move on to the next part of the build. After everything was cleared, it was time to move onto wheels, rotors, swingarm and a whole lot more!

Harley Road King A1 Cycles Swingarm M8 Bagger

For this bike we used the A1 Cycles "Hi-Lifter" Swingarm/Skinny Axle in the black powdercoat finish. This swingarm makes running the full length pipe easier minimizing any clearance issues. This bike was also in for some sick BST Carbon Fiber Wheels. (19" x 3.5" Front Spoke Mounted / 18" x 5.5" Rear). Black was the color of choice on this bike, so we paired the wheel with some Lyndall rotors and fresh Cruisetec rubbers (Front/Rear).

We knew this 2023 Harley Road King was going to be putting down some serious power so keeping the stock belt was not an option. We went with the Trask 530 Chain Conversion Kit paired it with a Black EK 530 chain.

Keeping this motor cool was also very important on this build. Between the Turbo and larger displacement, engine temps were a priority. We opted to us the UltraCool Oil Cooler Kit with Side Frame Mount.  This kit features waterproof connectors that automatically turns on the powerful dual fans when oil temps reaches 210 degrees. This setup has the ability to Has the ability to drop oil temp up to 50 degrees.

The front end on the Harley Road King also got some upgrades. The stock headlight was swapped out for a new Baja LP6 kit and paired with the S1 Amber Turn Signals. A new Hofmann Mid Length Carbon Fiber front fender was installed and the Bar setup was a combination of 10" Kraus risers, Biltwell Tracker O/S Bars, and a custom gauge housing using the Dakota Digital MVX Analog Gauge. The hand controls are ODI x VANS Grips, 1FNGR Easier Pull Levers, and Arlen Ness Stocker Mirrors.

Ohlins Suspension all around (FKS 228 Front / HD 044 Rear). Custom Dynamics Rear Filler panel lights were installed along with under bags lights and Carbon Fiber Rear Fender. We used the Whiplash Speed Co. Slipstream seat with black stitching. The license plate mount we used the CMP MC License Plate Mount.

The upgrade list was long on this Harley Road King build, but this bike is now ready to hit the streets. Our customer has asked the Dyno chart to be kept under warps. However we are happy to report this bike put out over 200+HP on the Dyno. With all the extra weight taken off, suspension upgraded (front & rear) and new T-bar setup, this bike handles unbelievable well. It's more power than most riders can comfortably handle on the road, but if you're up for the ride of your life - this would be your ticket.
