Bung King Highway Peg Crash Bar for Harley Sportster

This is a dual-function part for riders with a rubber mount Harley Sportster (2004 and newer) with mid controls.  This part is also available for 2003 and earlier models, however, it does require welding of the 4 supplied coped bungs to the frame. The fully TIG welded assembly takes place of your bolt-on highway pegs and serves the same function as a standard highway peg would; however, this mount also serves as a crash bar (otherwise known as a crash cage). The front crash bar protects the front section of the bike in the event of a crash or other complications that could lead to a bike falling over. Designed and built for stunt riders to protect their bikes as they were learning new tricks, this crash bar is made with safety in mind and is one of the most important features one can have on a bike. The bar features replaceable Delrin sliders on the ends to help the bike slide over surfaces like pavement, as opposed to taking hold of the bike while it is sliding and causing it to high-side. A lot of R&D has gone into the exact placement and length of the bar to ensure enough lean angle so as not to impede other types of high-speed cornering and still provide the right amount of protection.
