The Icon Tarmac Jacket keeps it simple and is available in two colorways - the gray we're taking a look at today along with a black version of the Tarmac. Either way, the Tarmac offers clean, solid color with minimal branding. As the front logo says, the Tarmac is designed for any weather you throw at it - it's constructed to meet Icon's highest waterproof rating - Level 3 - and provides breathable 4-way stretch HYCOR material. With YKK Aquaguard zippers throughout, you'll be able to keep water outside where it belongs.

On the sleeves you'll find there's lots going on - starting with durable ballistic reinforcement panels on the shoulders. Just underneath you'll have zipper vents which open up to reveal mesh for airflow with a row of reflective accents just underneath. A stretch panel helps the Tarmac stay true to its sport fit construction before another long reinforcement panel covers the elbows down the arm. At the base of the sleeves you'll find an adjustable wrist enclosure as well as stretch thumbloops to keep your sleeves from riding up.

To go along with the shoulder venting Icon adds in large armpit zipper vents to either side of the Tarmac along with a mesh exhaust port that's hidden beneath a stitched overlay over the length of the back of the jacket. To add another layer of weatherproofness, Icon gives you an adjustable neck cinch as well. And the suede neck liner will feel good regardless of how tight you adjust.

For exterior storage, the Tarmac offers a hidden YKK zippered chest pocket that's covered in Teflon DWR Coating to keep the rain out. Move down to the pair of hip pockets and you'll find the same thing - YKK zippers and waterproof DWR coating so you can confidently store whatever you need without worrying about the elements.

Unzip the length of the YKK zipper and you'll find some nice internal features as well. The jacket is lined with mesh to keep the air moving and it does a good job with the variety of external vents. On your left, you'll find a handy internal zipper pocket as well as large open mesh pockets and a couple small slots for a little extra storage.

To top it off, the Tarmac comes filled with D30 Impact Protection in the back, shoulders and elbows, with the elbows offering 3 slots so you can dial it in just right for best comfort.

The Icon Tarmac should please lots of riders with its features and basic style. It looks similar to a technical jacket from North Face or Marmot with the obvious added bonus of being built for motorcycle riders. It'll suit you well on or off your bike and you can't ask for much more than that.

Like every product we sell, we'll ship the jacket fast and free anywhere in the lower 48 states. Questions? Comments? Let us know, and we're happy to help any way we can.
