Belt loops allow for pant attachment to keep the hoody from riding up while you're on your bike and thumb loops stop wind from traveling up through your sleeves while you're on the road. 

The Cruise Missile really sets itself apart from a casual hoody by integrating a 5 piece Vault CE approved protection kit. The hoody arrives complete with removable elbow, shoulder and spine protectors. Plus, shoulder and elbows are reinforced with Dupont Kevlar Fiber thread.
