They're two rider favorites - the Biltwell Gringo and the Bell Bullitt. These full face helmets are loved for their retro look, their variety of styles and finishes, plus their versatility - they look solid with just about any motorcycle.

So what do they look like on your head? We went head to head with these helmets to give you a side-by-side look at the Biltwell Gringo S (it's the Biltwell Gringo outfitted for a shield) and the Bell Bullitt. We took shots in the same color - Biltwell calls theirs Flat Black while Bell's is Matte Black with a look at each helmet featuring a smoke shield, a clear shield, and the shield flipped up.

Both of these full face motorcycles are DOT approved and each helmet in our photo comparison is a size medium. Weighing each size medium helmet with its shield attached, the Bell Bullitt registered about 4 oz. heavier than the Gringo S.

• Biltwell Gringo S w/ Shield - 2 lbs. 14.2 oz.

• Bell Bullitt - 3 lbs. 2.4 oz.
