Purchasing replacement footpegs should be one of the easiest things to do. However, thanks to a few "odd" models and the new Harley Softail M-Eight's, you may have to do a double take to make sure you don't get the wrong fitment.

For starters, almost 75% of Harley footpegs use a "Standard" male mount design. That would include your Dyna, Touring, Softail (Excludes: M8, FXS, FXSB, FXCW or Streets), and Pre 2006 Sportster models. So unless you have a few select models or an aftermarket adapter for your footpegs, chances are you will be looking to get the "Standard" Male Mount footpeg set.

If you are buying footpegs for the Milwakee Eight Softails (2018-Up) you need to decide if you are replacing the Driver or Passenger application - because YES they are different. When purchasing any of the new aftermarket footpegs, be sure to select either the Softail Driver or Softail Rear option.

Some older Softails (FXS, FXSB, FXCW) as well as 2007-Up Sportsters or the XG Street models, feature an offset mount style. These models are easy to spot, you just have to make sure the ones your buying also have the offset mount style.

If you have an older Harley models such as a Shovelhead or Ironhead, you may be looking for the Female style footpeg mount. These are usually referred to as "Small" vs. "Large" Female Mount. Check out the photos below to see the difference. Be sure to choose the correct style for the pegs you are looking to replace.

That covers most of the footpeg styles you could come across as a rider. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list, but hopefully it will help you choose the correct fitment for your Harley. If you have any questions, be sure to send us an email cs@getlowered.com or @GetLowered on Instagram.
