2022 Harley Low Rider ST El Diablo- Chrome is the new Black
The 2022 Harley El Diablo Low Rider ST is a bike any rider would love to call their own. Even straight off the showroom floor with a stock setup this bike has something special. Between the limited edition run, eye catchy paint and clean style, we knew we had to get our hands on one.
Lucky for us Schaeffer's Harley-Davidson hooked us up with #1307. Harley only produced 1500 of these, so they are fairly hard to come by. After the first rip home we were looking forward to making some well deserved upgrades to this bike. First thing on the check list was the motor.
We chose the 130" Pro Street Touring engine kit from T-Man Performance and paired it with the 3262 cam. We also upgraded to the S&S Oil Pump & Cam Plate and chain tensioner.
Once the engine was buttoned up and running smooth with a fresh new tune. We started on the front end. We wanted to swap most this bike to chrome, so we grabbed a set of Lyndall's Chrome B-52 wheels and added a fresh set of Metzeler CruiseTec tires.
The stock front/rear suspension was upgraded with some Ohlins (FKS 508 in the front / HD 506 in the rear) plus some Custom Cycle Radial Caliper Mounts and gold fork tubes.
To finish up the front end we added Lyndall's B-52 Chrome/Gold Rotors and Radial Beringer calipers in their Red finish. Custom +2 Magnum front brakes lines were ran.
Handlebar setup went back together using the Kraus Machined Triple Tree Set, LA Choppers chrome 10" Pullback Performance Risers & Top Clamp in combination with their Performance Dual Gauge Mount. Speed-Kings Chrome Mid bend bars paired with black ODI Hart-Luck grips. They are one of the most popular grips we sell and for good reason. Finishing off the front end we used Arlen Ness Mini Stocker mirrors as well as their chrome Method levers.
HPI throttle body 62 mm/ 62mm tunnel ram and of course we threw on a HPI Carbon Fiber Side Cover. We paired that with the D&D Chrome Fat Cat 2-1 Exhaust. Other pieces included the Chrome Trask Cam Cover and Arlen Ness Black Cush pegs.
The rear wheel setup was also converted to a chain and sprocket kit from Lyndall with a Chrome EK 530 Chain when the motor was done to hold that extra hp/tq.
Final pieces included the Amber Baja LP4 headlight/mount, Klock Werks 6" Dark Smoke Flare windshield and Saddlemen seat. Since we loved the paint on this bike, we had the side covers custom paint matched by our local painter over in Willow Grove, PA.
Check out the Dyno chart and final shots below to see how the whole thing turned out. We also have some videos posted on our Instagram page to hear that exhaust. This one will be staying with us at the shop for a while.
